Dear Parent and Guardians -
Here is some important information about the start of the 2018 school year for your student(s). Please read this entire email as there is several new items.
NEW THIS YEAR:
COMPUTERS - This year we will be rolling out 1:1 devices. Your student will receive his/her device during the first week of school. Please print and bring the attached PUSD Device Agreement to Walk-Through Registration. Thank you.
BINDERS - Harvest Park will supply every student with basic supplies (including: binder, dividers, paper, pens, eraser and pencils) so that we can minimize backpack weight and help our students to become more organized. So there is no need for you to purchase any of these items to bring to school, your son/daughter will receive their ‘supplies’ the first day of school.
PE CLOTHES - Harvest Park had to change vendors for our PE clothes, so our uniforms are slightly different from last year. If you purchased PE clothes during the last two years, you do NOT need to buy new clothes this year. Sample sizes of our new PE clothes will be on display at Walk-Through Registration.
FLEX PERIOD - We are very excited to be starting our FLEX periods (Tuesdays and Thursdays) in the fall. This system will help ALL students to have opportunities for reteach and enrichment. This FLEX schedule will not affect the start and ending times on these days. More information about FLEX will be coming during the first weeks of school and will be available on our website.
To purchase a yearbook, go to www.yearbookordercenter.com and enter our school code 7726. 8th grade parents, congratulate your 8th grade student and express your pride and love with an ad in the 2019 yearbook. Please look for more information soon.
Step 1: Online registration is open now. Visit hp.futurefundapp.com/registration to begin. You will be instructed to print out a Registration receipt, which you should bring to Walk-Through Registration.
Step 2: Log into the Q Parent Connection portal (using your Q PIN & password) to fill out school information and registration forms for your student(s). Once you have logged on, start the re-registration process by clicking on the blue “Registration/Emergency Info” link at the top of the right side of the page. After you have completed the online process for each of your students (click the “+” next to Step 2A to expand the student address), PRINT the Registration Review page for each student and bring to Walk-Through. Step 3: Walk-Through Registration at Harvest Park Middle School (A-L is from 7:30-11:00 am and M-Z is from 1-5 pm). Please bring the following to Walk-Through Registration:
- Printed “Q” Registration Review Page (one for each student)
- Printed FutureFund receipt
- Printed or original copies of 2 acceptable proofs of residence
New Student Orientation
Tuesday, August 7th for incoming 6th graders and new 7th-8th graders are invited to
PATRIOT CAMP! 9-10:30 am in the GYM.

7:30 - 11:00 am (last names A-L)
11:00 - 1:00 pm lunch
1:00 - 5:00 pm (last names M-Z)
Make up Registration: August 8th after 9:00 am in office
First Day of School: Monday, August 13, 2018
Patriot Day extended day activities for HP students:
6th graders: Meet in the quad at 3:15 - 4:00 for our annual Ice Cream Social.
7th and 8th graders: Come back at 6:30 - 8:00 for our first ever Patriot Party! There will be music, dancing, games, and food. Cabana Dave's Food Truck will be on the blacktop during this event with a selection of food items for sale (price of food not included in ticket sales). Ticket will be on sale at Walk-through Registration and during lunch.
