Principal's Message
Dear Harvest Park Community,
We are so happy to welcome everyone back for another exciting school year! Last year was truly remarkable. Harvest Park was named a School to Watch and received the Golden Bell Award for our inclusive programming. Niche ranked us as the #1 middle school in Alameda county. Both of our administrators earned awards, many of our teachers were recognized for Excellence in Education, and our students achieved tremendous success. Our Yearbook was nationally recognized. Our VEX 5 Robotics team continued to grow and innovate, and our We the People team was honored for excellence in Unit 6 on Citizenship. Our Wellness Center offered outstanding programming to support student well-being, and our French program earned an incredible nine Platinum Awards in the National French Competition. We also saw excellent test scores, a reflection of our students’ hard work and our staff’s dedication.
This year promises to be just as exciting. Work will begin this January on our new artificial turf field. The redesigned asphalt area will soon feature volleyball, pickleball, and other game spaces. Our parking lots are being updated next summer so that they will be safer and more efficient, and the Harvest Park Garden is open and looking beautiful. At lunch, students can enjoy a variety of games and activities, with Leadership hosting ping pong, volleyball, raffles, and more. The campus looks amazing, and our students and teachers bring an energy and joy that makes Harvest Park such a special place.
We are so fortunate to have such a supportive, loving community that works together to make our school thrive. With all of these opportunities for learning, growth, and connection, we know this will be another year to remember.
Warmly,
Russell Campisi
Harvest Park Middle School Principal
