Harvest Park Middle

Principal’s Message

I’d like to begin by thanking everyone for the warm welcome to Harvest Park. In my first two weeks at HPMS I have witnessed some wonderful activities here on campus, such as Breakfast with an Expert, intramural volleyball, and our inaugural Fall Concert. I continue to be impressed by our students, staff, and community.

I am excited to announce that Harvest Park is officially on social media! You can now like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram @Harvest_Park_Patriots and stay up-to-date with the latest happenings at HPMS!

This year I am partnering with the PTSA to host a Book Talk with the Principal, which is an opportunity for parents to read and discuss a book relevant to parenting a middle school student.  Our book for this year is Mindset by Carol Dweck.  Our first Book Talk will be on Nov 17th from 8:30-9:30am. At our first gathering, we will be discussing the first 3 chapters of the book. Didn’t have time to read it? No worries, come anyway! If you’d like to check out a copy of the book, we have some available in the front office.

Lastly, as we wrap up first quarter and move into second, we want to remind all parents to reach out to teachers if you have any academic concerns about your student(s).  Teachers are your first point of contact to discuss any specific concerns, or to talk about any challenges your child is experiencing.  Teachers will work with you and your student to establish strategies for improvement. If your student is experiencing any social/emotional challenges, please contact a school counselor.  We are all here to support you and your students, so please don’t hesitate to reach out.
